ECIL provides special services to carry out "Non-Destructive Testing" (NDT) for evaluating existing concrete structures using state-of-the-art technology available to very few consultants in the world.
EVALUATION OF EXISTING CONCRETE STRUCTURES (Structures, Building and Bridges)
Dismantling of existing structures and reconstruction can be a costly undertaking. Time and again, clients require engineers to evaluate the load carrying capacity and the ability of a structure to remain serviceable after some strength degradation, due to natural or other causes. ECIL acquired a series of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipments to offer specialized NDT services (listed below). The digital data collected through these devices are analysed by trained professionals, using various advanced computer software, such as ANSYS, to assess and evaluate the structural integrity and other strength characteristics of the concrete elements tested.
1.Determination of diameter and spacing of reinforcement using Rebar Locator
2. Detection of extent of reinforcement corrosion using the Corrosion Analyzer
3.Determination of in-situ compressive strength of concrete using CAPO Test
4.Detection of cracks and de-lamination and honeycombing in concrete, using Impact Echo Device
5. Assessment of compressive strength and its uniformity using Digi-Schmidt Hammer
NDT OF HIGHWAY AND AIR FIELD PAVEMENTS
The best way to understand pavements is to regularly collect, and analyse data on their performance under prevailing loading and climatic conditions. All over the developed world, road maintenance agencies monitor the performance of pavements by collecting varieties in data. This data can easily be used to analyse and evaluate the pavements and analyse all aspects related to their performance. ECIL owns NDT equipments and related hardwares / softwares and offers services through its subsidiary PEARL. We provide the following services to carry out pavement evaluation and pavement structural assessment.
1.Automated Road Inventories by using cutting edge LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging Technology)
2. The pavement condition survey by using state of the Art Laser Crack Measurement Systems (LCMS)
3.Nondestructive deflection testing using the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD)
4.Determination of Pavement Condition Indices (PCI) using the latest version of MicroPaver Software
5.Special surveys such as roughness measurements using state-of-the-art Laser Profilometers
6.Analysing the Roads/Highways/Airfield Pavement by utilizing all of the above data and develop Pavement Management System for the time inversion related to cost effective Pavement Rehabilitation.
7. Integration of all Data into GIS in order to facilitate the Decision Makers at Executing Authorities for the timely intervention for the Pavements Rehabilitation.
