Project Description

In order to upgrade the existing highway from Ras Al Khaimah Airport to Qusaidat Round About in Ras Al Khaimah Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) decided to initiate a rehabilitation project. MPWH appointed ECIL to determine the quality assurance parameters which leads to the determination of the riding quality of the newly constructed road surface.

ECIL provided the following services to the client:

Data Acquisition

Data Acquisition had been carried out by using Most Advanced and Contemporary tools related to the Road Measurement and Data Acquisition System. The scope of services was comprised of conducting the Roughness Testing using the Laser Profilometers, which works on Cutting Edge Laser Technology. During the data acquisition GPS was also used in order to pinpoint the location of the data collection. In fact ECIL is the first organization in the United Arab Emirates who has introduced and used Laser Technology for the first time.
